the name

Turner, Christopher L [12:29 PM]:
Rob just sent me this quote in GMAIL chat : on gitmo -
Bradley A. Blakeman, Republican strategist, consultant, entrepreneur:
The President needs to get all the facts and listen first and foremost to the professionals and not the politicians, before acting too hastily. The President should not make decisions based on what the public "wants" because the public doesn’t know the facts.
Turner, Christopher L [12:30 PM]:
I said this : WOW
whata jack ass
the reason that we ELECTED him was so that he WOULD listen to US. WE ARE HIS POWER
Vargas, Marco A [1:03 PM]:
It's friggin disgusting that an American would even say such a thing - seriously, when the hell did we lose the idea of "WE THE PEOPLE!!!!'
Vargas, Marco A [1:08 PM]:
What about that as the main focus of our think tank?? Recapturing the spirit of the Revolution .... and what a democratic republic of Active, Participatory Citizens is supposed to be? Seriously, - the principles of Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, Robespierre, Montesquieu ....
Vargas, Marco A [1:09 PM]:
Liberty Fraternity Equality ..... how has the American public shifted so far toward a mindless horde of followers and how can we rekindle the principles of our revolution and put them to work practically in the 21st century?
Vargas, Marco A [1:16 PM]:
the research would probably involve alot of research into the effects of modern corporate media on the national psyche as a whole, and on individuals ... the effects of modern Literature ... the successes and failures of local, state, and federal government on the perception of the People toward governance .... the effect of our educational system and its decision not to teach critical thinking skills at all ....
Vargas, Marco A [1:18 PM]:
we could look at trends in Literature, Newspaper editorials, etc to discover what I imagine would be an obvious but gradual change in the "language" used by Americans - from independent rugged revolutionaries to wimpering Oprah-generation followers
Vargas, Marco A [1:19 PM]:
What about the LiFE Institute? (Liberty i Fraternity Equality)
Vargas, Marco A [1:20 PM]:
L.i.F.E
Vargas, Marco A [1:22 PM]:
there might not be alot of raw data to gather - this wouldn't be about carbon molecule distribution in the atmosphere over time, which could be interpreted .... but we could develop a point-value system if we felt the need for graphs. lol
Vargas, Marco A [1:24 PM]:
point-value system to measure the degree of Liberty in the country? haha ummm ... we could call it the LiFE value .....
Turner, Christopher L [1:55 PM]:
awesome, sounds good too me. it touches on a broad spectrum of issues and all are relevant to our values. the LiFE Institute, Liberty "in" Fraternity & Equality
Vargas, Marco A [1:58 PM]:
yeah?
Vargas, Marco A [1:58 PM]:
cool!
